A suicide Bomber who was trying to cause havoc irreparable inside an Internally Displaced Persons camp, has been given a taste of his own medicine. Soldiers in Maiduguri have shot dead a suspected Boko Haram suicide bomber. Officials said the suspect was shot dead after he was spotted trying to creep into the same IDP camp that nearly came under attack by a female suicide bomber who killed herself and five others on Saturday morning. The suicide bomber was shot dead by vigilant soldiers who opened fire on him causing one of the two bombs around his body to go off. Saturday and Sunday’s incidents appear to indicate that the insurgents have made internally displaced persons, IDP, camps a major point of target. A 35-year-old man identified as Thomas Matthew has been reportedly arrested for allegedly strangling his two children to death in Abuja. Reports gathered that the man had previously killed his 2-month-old son and on October 7th, 2016, he also strangled his four-month-old daughter, Mary Matthew to death. Narrating what led him to perpetrate the evil act, he said that his late father who initiated him into an occult group appeared to him and commanded him to sacrifice his children to him on different occasions. An airplane has gone up in flames inside the airport with passengers inside it causing serious commotion in the place. An American Airlines plane has caught fire in Chicago. The right-side engine of the Boeing 767 failed Friday during an attempted takeoff, sending debris as far as a half mile and passengers hurriedly down emergency slides onto a runway at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport. According to CNN, three sources familiar with the unfolding investigation revealed that the General Electric engine suffered an apparent "uncontained" failure. The 161 terrified passengers and nine crew members scrambled to safety Friday afternoon after huge flames erupted on the right side of the plane. Airport fire Chief Timothy Sampey said crews responded to a report of a No. 2 engine on fire. The plane, which had stopped well before the end of the runway, had about 43,000 pounds of fuel. A man has met a tragic and untimely end while taking a nap under a lorry after the vehicle moved without warning. This is the moment a man was photographed after he was killed by a lorry in broad daylight while he was sleeping under the vehicle. The incident reportedly occurred in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, on Saturday. According to a witness, the deceased was sleeping under a driver’s lorry, obviously tired from working long hours. However, unfortunately for him, the lorry owner didn’t know there was anyone sleeping under his vehicle and so moved out. The man was crushed and died on the spot.

Two female suicide bomber were behind the twin attacks which rocked Borno State capital, Maiduguri, on Saturday, killing at least nine people and injuring 24 others. One explosion happened outside a gas station, while the other was near the Bakassi camp for internally displaced persons (IDP), underscoring the continued threat from Boko Haram jihadists who are suspected of being behind the attacks. The first attack by a female suicide bomber occurred at 6 a.m in front of a camp for the internally displaced persons in the Bakassi area as scores of people were coming out of the camp to begin a new day. President Buhari and NNPC has said the current market price of N145 per liter is no longer sustainable. Both the President and NNPC admitted that oil marketers were reluctant to import fuel because they would be selling at a loss. Speaking in Lagos at the 2016 Oil Trading and Logistics (OTL) Conference, the President, ably represented by the Group General Manager, Crude Oil Marketing Division at the NNPC, Mr. Mele Kyari, said there was no way petrol would continue to be sold at the current pump price. Kyari however added that President Buhari is yet to make up his mind on whether to increase fuel prize or not. According to him, legislation by the National Assembly would be required for petrol to be sold above N145 per liter. Nigerian troops discover 23 human skulls – Troops of Operation DELTA SAFE said it discovered four militant shrines with 23 human skulls in various stages of decomposition, one complete human skeleton, and several other human body parts in Bakassi and Akpabuyo Local Government Areas of Cross River State. Secondary school students have caused serious commotion in an Oyo State community after setting their own school on fire. Some students of the Isale-Oyo Community High School, Oyo town, have gone on rampage, setting their own classrooms on fire over mass failure in their examination. According to The Punch, the aggrieved students stormed the school premises on Thursday morning charting solidarity songs. They were said to have gone haywire afterwards, set fire to blocks of classrooms and fled the premises. The school authorities were said to have alerted men of the Oyo State Fire Service, who responded swiftly to put out the fire. Policemen were deployed in the school to restore peace but none of the students had been arrested as of the time of filing this report.
